Fall is right around the corner, and I’ve got a pair of new songs for your Autumn 2021 playlist. Melodic punk rock band Nowhere Fast has returned with a cool cover of R.E.M.’s classic “The One I Love”, as well as a nice, stripped down original called “You Act. I Write”. The cover tune is pretty faithful to the original, with singer Seth Robinson adding his own vocal touch.
The band’s new original song “You Act. I Write” is a stripped down acoustic guitar and vocal diddy that plays like an early Counting Crows track with a twinge of Saves The Day’s indie pop punk sensibility.
